about

'Uncle Syd's Sugarcube' is the realization of my intention for the live studio improvs which I originally recorded on All Soul's Day. This piece incorporates the first, longest take from those sessions.

Finding and then blurring the lines between ambient drones and pieces that have dynamic interest is part of the joy I derive from creating long-form work. In the grand old tradition of musics for mind-expansions, my effort was to present a recording which can be different every time.
