Presenting a SFTO live performance challenges me to create for the listener the auditory pareidolia which I associate with positive sound experiences. Set can struggle with Setting as well as with time constraints.
I was gifted the opportunity to make an audio environment for a day within a unique retail space near my home. Mic'd up, mixed down and run through some elderly processors, I set out to take the resonant metals I play, sounds which usually call 'Attention! ' and, with the help of some digital assistants, evoke from them a quieter, flowing passage for listeners to move through.
From the resulting five hours of stereo recording these two parts were sorted out, tarted up and are now splendidly presented for your pleasure.
